Reception takes both IDs, records them, returns them, hands over the key. Nobody asks how you know each other. Nobody calls the manager over.

It also means the answer does not change with the shift. The person on the desk at 2 AM has been told the same policy as the person on the desk at 2 PM, so you are not gambling on who happens to be working.

A photo of an ID on a phone is the weakest version and can slow things down. If you do not have the physical card, a DigiLocker copy is a far better fallback because it is issued rather than photographed. A DigiLocker copy counts as an issued document rather than an image, which is why it holds up at a desk when a screenshot does not.

If you have no preference, say so when you book and we will put you wherever the room type you want is free. If you are arriving by car, mention it, because covered parking is easier to hold for you than to find at the last minute.

Rates, and why there is no number on this page

Rates move with the season, with the day of the week and with how full we are. A published tariff would be wrong within a fortnight and would be worse than no tariff at all, because it would set an expectation we then had to walk back at the counter.

One thing worth asking about: if you only need the room for part of a day rather than a night, that is a different booking. Day-use rooms are priced separately and a lot of people book a full night out of habit when they did not need to.

What we ask of you

Short and reasonable.

Register everyone who is staying. If a third person is joining, that is a conversation at the desk, not something to walk past reception. It takes a minute and it stops an awkward knock later.

Keep it a hotel. Normal noise levels, normal hours, nothing that makes the room next door complain. Same expectation we have of every guest.

Tell us if you are running late. A held room is easy. A no-show at 11 PM on a full Saturday is a room we could not give to anyone else.

Say what you need. Late check-out, an early check-in, a quieter room away from the road. Standard check-in is 12 PM and check-out is 11 AM, and we flex on both when the day’s occupancy allows. Asking at the time of booking works far better than asking at 10:45 AM on the day.
